The house has finally gone under contract after six months on the market. Plan is to close on the house Jan 7th and move (with the dog) about a week later. Now we have just one or two things to work on in the mean time.

Inspection complete and agreed to fix a couple of things. Appraisal next week which we're hoping goes fine. Now to start putting money down on everything, the dog, flights, shipping container, rental place...
On a good note, the four week estimate for our daughter's citizenship/passport processing ended up being 3 days. She's officially (half) a kiwi.

Great news on the house sale and daughter's citizenship! Be prepared for some craziness ahead (packing, etc.) I leave for NZ on Tuesday then I start the great house-hunt but now I'm wondering why I even want another house. I've enjoyed the last six weeks being homeless. No responsibilities!

Congrats on your progress. When is your move date and where exactly are you moving to? Which shippers did you end up using? We aren't far behind. Moving in 3 months.
