    Default Partner's Recognized Qualification-Level4

    Hi Folks,

I had claimed 10 points for my wife's College Diploma ( Medical Assistant). However, the Officer in London Branch disputed it based on the following:

    * Awarding Body (Macomb Community College, Warren, MI, USA) doesn't appear on the List of Qualifications Exempt from Assessment.
    * You have not had this qualification assessed by NZQA.

    My question is:

    * As it is a 2-year Diploma from Accredited College in USA, will NZQA consider this to be a qualification that I can claim points for?

I couldn't find any relevant information on NZ-Immigration Operational Manual .

I'd greatly appreciate if someone can guide me as these 10 points are critical for my selection in the pool.

    Look forward to hear responses!

You will have to have it assessed by NZQA. They work by comparing details of the course (subjects studied, to what depth, as given in syllabus/transcripts) with courses available in NZ, so as to pronounce on what Level on the NZ educational system it can be considered, and what qualification, if any, it is equivalent to. http://www.nzqa.govt.nz/qualificatio...ns-assessment/
