Work experience documents for IQA assessment

Hello,

I am preparing to get my Bachelor's assessed for IQA. When filling up the application, it seems work experience related documents are also required.
Few of my work experiences are yet to be with me, as the companies are trying to get it signed from the correct people.

So, do i need to submit my work experience letters also along with the qualification documents for assessment? or will the qualification documents be enough?

If i do not submit the work experience, will it have any impact on my application since i am claiming points for absolute/LTSSL?

Yes it is required to provide all supporting documents ((originals)) expect ID and academic syllabus that could be sent as certified copies,

When I received my evaluation report it states that NZQA made their assessment after checking all of my submitted documents. so you have to submitt all of them to avoid any impact on your report.

hope this may help...when my hubby and I submitted for IQA, we provided detailed COEs with job descriptions (This can be originals or certified copies). Then we created a personal IQA checklist indicating "Work references (I will claim LTSSL under ICT xxxxx: 12345).. So when we got our IQA results, NZQA gave us a specified outcome like "bachelor of xxxxxx major in xxxxx"...

I have a friend who submitted her IQA, she did not indicate that she will claim LTSSL so the NZQA gave her an unspecified outcome like "Bachelor Degree (Level 7)" only. She also provided detailed COEs with job description.

Liz5, i am pending getting the brief job responsibility letter from one of my previous employers. That is apparently in malaysia and am in SG, hence the delay.
If it is delayed further, i'm planning to submit the offer letter & salary slips from this employer along with my educational certificates.

I just hope that works well with NZQA. My timeline is nearing as NZQA has suddenly introduced revisions in qualification exempt list and that affects me. Hence, i am now required to do an IQA , which previously was not.

Although its 2 years old post but i still wanted to know. Is it possible to indicate to NZQA about a degree from LTSSL to claim points? You have mentioned about an IQA checklist? Did you claim for a specific degree title from NZQA?

I sent them the form in Appendix B in New Zealand Qualifications Authority Qualification Comparability Assessment Request form. I received the IQA outcome as a specific outcome indicating my degree is comparable to a degree in NZ to the same title.

Further, I included a personal cover letter too indicating that I need to assess my degree corresponding to a occupation in LTSSL.

I think it won't cost you anything to add these single page documents to your document set.

Kindly help me to clarify few question about my assessment result. My result has mentioned as below:

Qualification: Computer Science and Engineering
Comparative Assessments Outcome : A bachelor of Science degree at Level 7(360 credits)
Comments : The Bachelor of science in comparative assessment outcome above specialises in Computer Science

So My question about the above results as below:

1. Can I claim bonus point for LTSSL?
2. This qualification will fall under which category of ANZSCO occupation list?or who will assess it?
3.They consider my degree as 3 years bachelor degree.So would I still be able to claim bonus points for it?

Really appreciate if you guys clarify it.

I think your Computer Science and Engineering degree has been comparatively assessed to a Bachelor of Science Degree at Level 7 with 360 Credit in New Zealand. This is a specialized outcome of Computer Science

So I think according to the assessment, you can claim bonus points for your qualification IF you have minimum of 3 years post qualification work experience in one of the occupations listed in 2nd column of the LTSSL under the Occupational Group ICT, Electronics and Telecommunication.

Experts correct me if I'm wrong.

If you are claiming bonus for specific occupation in LTSSL, it needs to align with the ANZSCO description of the relevant occupation.

By the way, did you sort out the EOI points? I remember you have posted in some other thread that you are claiming only 110 points without job offer.
