    Default Teaching in New Zealand

    Hi guys,

I've been looking into immigrating to New Zealand for a while now with the possibility of attempting to secure myself within the teaching profession, and would be grateful if someone could answer, or provide links to information that could answer my questions.

Firstly, I have achieved a B.Sc. in the UK but feel it may be more beneficial to my successful integration if I finished my qualifications in New Zealand so, I would like to know if there are any "Learning on the job" type opportunities available in New Zealand? As I imagine post-graduate diplomas will be fairly expensive for international students.

Secondly, I am aware that Maori culture is a large part of New Zealand teaching, would the fact that I would be a immigrant limit my employability?

And finally I would preferably like to teach at a A-level (UK) equivalent level, what qualifications would I need to do this?

Thank you in advance to anyone that can help me with these questions.

    Sean
