Default financial assets to support oneself

    Hi,

I understand from INZ application form that we have to declare ourselves( including partner ) being able to sustain for about 24 months without any aid. These will be cash and assets as we have not landed any job in NZ.
Is there any figures or benchmarks to understand , how much monetary figure at the minimum one needs to show.

    Thanks.

@rv1103. I think there is no need to show any financial assets at ITA. Pls refer to prev. post http://www.enz.org/forum/showthread.php?t=37484

If you are looking for how much really you will need to spend over there .It varies from place to another regarding living costs. you may refer to this useful link for Housing costs at NZ regions comparisons http://www.ssnz.govt.nz/compare-regi...ional-data.htm.

Thanks Khaled. Yes i do agree, there is no need for financial assets during ITA submission stages.
However, the ITA application, has a clause which asks you to chose whether you will be using Job offer(if any currently ) or cash/assets to prove that we can sustain ourselves for 24 months.

i.e my understanding says if the residency gets approved , they will ask for proofs about this. Hence , i am trying to know how much money in minimum are we talking about.

Any one who has this experience or knowledge.
