Default Help! what will happen if i havent got a CO 12 month after the lodgement?

    Dear all,
If my status changed into Application Received on 1st Dec 2012. And email sent by INZ stating that it would take up to 12 months to assign a CO.
Assuming my medical report generated on 1st Nov 2012. and when time is 1st May 2013, 6 month after my medical report generation, will INZ require i take the medical check (INZ 1007 and 1096)? what will trigger a medical re-check generally?
By the way, happy new year!
    All the best,
    GJMFL

Normally, the requirement is that the medical and police check should be within date at the time of lodgement - time that passes while INZ are processing the case doesn't count. I don't remember ever hearing that anyone had to have a complete medical done again for the same visa application, although of course, if there's something marked abnormal in your existing medical that gets it referred to the MAs' department, an MA can require tests of whatever they think necessary, and reports from doctors and/or specialists.

And yes, happy holidays and good luck for the New Year.
