good garage for van repair in wellington?

Hi,

We suspect our old (1990) toyota townace diesel van has troubles, it's losing a lot of water.. hopefully it isn't the head gasket but we want to get a full compression test done to rule that possibility out.

As we don't know any better we've booked it in at the Toyota garage for the test at $220 but are worried that if repairs are needed then the Toyota garage prob will be very expensive.

Can anyone recommend a good garage in the are (we are in Newtown but would be prepared to take it anywhere in Wellington and up to around 10K out of the city) that won't rip us off but is reasonably priced?

We use Autostop in Johnsonville http://www.autostop.co.nz/ They really are good & well priced from what we have had done, Alan, the main man, is fantastic, English guy that's been here years. They have really helped us out when I bumped my car, taking me & my youngest down to Countdown to buy kitty litter to mop up the oil spill & generally looking after us, we now go back for our WOF & services
