As I just wrote on another thread...

As this qualification is not on the list of qualifications exempt from assessment http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/47086.htm, it will need to be checked by NZQA to be given a Level. Possibly someone reading this may have had the same qualification done already, but otherwise, nobody can tell you.

Incidentally, it's a waste of money getting PAR. PAR levels are stated only on the basis of what the title of the qualification is, whereas for IQA, there is an investigation of what subject-matter has been studied, to what depth. After this, the IQA states which (if any) NZ course the qualification submitted can be considered equivalent to, and its Level, and it's mandatory for the Invitation To Apply, the next phase after EOI of applying under SMC.

True that. It sucks but if you wish to claim points for your job exp and qualifications (to make to that 140 points threshold), you have to get NZQA unless your qualification is listed in their exemption list (see their website).

Recommend to go straight to IQA assessment. PAR is useless and waste of money.
