Question Stamping time after AIP, visa expires! Urgent help!

    Hi guys,

thanks for all your support, I am bit confused! I got my AIP before xmas! and I sent the passport with AIP letter and Migrant levy on 24th, INZ received it on 3rd Jan.
Yesterday $310 deducted from credit card for Migrant levy. but I am worried as my current work visa expires on 10th Jan and someone advised me that stamping takes 2 to 3 weeks!

    Please advise me something,

    thanks,

Things are obviously happening, over at the INZ office, but I can understand you won't feel comfortable till you see that visa in your passport with your own eyes. If it's not back on the 9th, I guess you'd better phone and ask, 'Do I have a visa? Can I go to work tomorrow?' (It's always better to ask the authorities, rather than go with a 'someone said'.) But it's definitely only going to be an extremely short term issue.

I find that INZ is generally very helpful. MY wife was hospitalised while the passports were with INZ and I needed to show them to the hospital, I was able to go and get them in a few hours.

While the example is irrelevant, I would encourage you to explain your situation and they might give it early.
