Visa extension - info needed pls help thanks
Hi All
need your help on the below please
we were here since Sept 2012 on a 1 year essential skills work visa.
In Nov 2012 we found out that my wife is pregnant.
here's some challeneges we are facing and need your advice on
1. because of our 1 year visa , we are finding it difficult to get a midwife that will take our assignment
2. the cost of delivery if we arent able to get the Visa will be too high for us
3. we were informed to get a 2 year work visa , that would help us sisgnificantly
4. if we cant get a visa in time since company is delaying the process - we will need to move back to Singapore
5. Can someone tell us the cost involved of we arent subsidised ? I heard midwifes alone cost close to $10000 NZD if we arent on the 2 year visa. we have been paying for doctors visit costing about $160 everytime we go
6. If you have any midwifes who can take on due dates of 18th July please let us know.
Visa questions
1. if we need to extend our visa, do we need to go through the whole process again as we did applying for a 1 year Visa ? Company have agreed to provide a new contract to offer a 2 year or perm employment
2. will the wait times be shortened if we just get an extension to a 1 year work visa we already have or do we need to reapply again for a 2 year work Visa ?
3. our visa expires Aug this year
We are in Auckland
