Default 40 year old hairdressers moving to nz

We currently own our own business in London,hairdressing/barbering. Have had enough after nearly 25 years and after some research now looking for a quieter life where we can enjoy our hobbies more [horse riding/motorbike] we are struggling to work out our best way of entering nz, either buy an existing hair salon,or to try and obtain job offers on our reccie trip over for three weeks at Christmas? ???
any thoughts/advice would be greatly appreciated...

    Hello.

Either of those routes could do the trick. Personal reaction here - my gut feeling is that, as you've been your own bosses for a good number of years, you would be likely to feel more comfortable and make more of the level of living you've been used to if you bought an existing concern and went the business visa route. Do you think you'd be happy, doing what someone else tells you? But then, maybe you'll meet a boss you'd be happy to work for.
