Question Parent visa - able to work?

My daughter is going to live in New Zealand with her husband who is a NZ citizen and their 2 daughters who have dual nationality. When she has been a resident for 3 years, we should be able to apply for Parent visas. Would we be allowed to work in New Zealand on a parent visa? I'm sure this isn't new but I can't seem to find an answer so any ideas please. Many thanks.

    Hello.

Yes, indeed. If you obtain Residence by being sponsored in by your daughter, it's just as much Residence as if you had it by any other route. It entitles you to live in NZ and do whatever (legal) you wish - work, run a business, study, none of those...
