    Default relocating a british bulldog

    Hi
My family will be following me to Chch around August/September time (Im going in March) and we have a 4 year old british bulldog. Can anyone please advise on the procedures/vaccines etc involved in the whole process ?
I think he needs a pet passport and rabies vaccine and have heard he needs this 6 months prior to the move ? Is this correct ?
Are there good honest pet relocation companies who can also help?

    Any info is appreciated
    Cheers

It is very difficult to ship a bulldog by air. Not airlines will not take them as there is a very high risk of death due to inherent breathing difficulties with the breed. That is not to say it's not possible, but it is a serious risk, and many airlines protect themselves against it by declining to accept bulldogs and other snub-nose breeds. At one point, Cathay was accepting them, and for a while ANZ was... I don't know the current status of airlines from the UK, but when we shipped our dog and booked we had to return a disclaimer stating, amongst other things, it wasn't a bulldog or other snub-nose breed.
