    Default Residence got Approved

    Hi,

Today my online status of SMC PR application changed to "APPROVED". What does it mean? Does it mean i got the PR visa?
If so how many days will it take to complete the stamping?

    I am really really excited!

    Hi,

Thank You! There was no interview for me as i got the job offer in the middle.
Can any one of forum members clarify me the below doubts?

    1. In the online services the decision changed to "APPROVED". So in how many days we receive communication from INZ?
    2. What are the next steps?
3.Typically how much time will it take to get the stamping done?

    Any help is appreciated!

    Thank You!

Congratulations! If you go to the Operational manual (link on Home page of INZ website) and look at section R5.90 (Residence class) it explains about the payment of the Migrant Levy and related matters. Not sure how long it takes, but I am told it's not too long at all once the levy is paid. I guess you know that the cost is 12,800INR or $255US. Good luck with th emove! Kind rgeards. Karen

    Hi EveryOne,

Thanks for all your wishes..I am planning for the travel towards the end of this month after stamping is done.

Some people on this forum are saying they can see the decision as "Approved in Principle(AIP)", but for me the decision is showing as just "APPROVED". Is there any difference between these two statuses or both the same?

In how many days we get the letter from INZ about migrant levy?

    Thank You!

It's the same. If you just see 'approved' or 'approved in principle', it's Residence.

You will get an email, or sometimes something through the post, from INZ, but the timing varies - it can be anything from days to two or three weeks (though longer is rarer), so don't worry if you don't get anything in the very short term.
