With regards to Character Requirements; i understand that your partner isnt eligible to support your application if the have convictions or charges relating to domestic violence or crimes of a sexual nature etc.
My partner has a conviction and a charge for drink driving nearly 3 years ago.
I just want to know if this affects our application?????
I'm a partner who is a NZ Citizen, so am in a similar boat to you.
What I think is so is this: if the kiwi partner has a conviction but is not in that list (domestic violence / sexual / etc) then it is ok. And won't need to provide a police certificate as NZ's "big brother" government already knows everything! Or at least that is what I'm interpreting it as for our application.
