Default WHV visa Health & Character requirments

Please could anyone here know what is the thing with these requirements:

    1. In health requirements is stated:

    Temporary entry class visa applications
Temporary entry class visas include work, student, visitor,
working holiday, military, diplomatic, consular, or official
visa, limited visa applications and visas related to the
    Antarctic Treaty.

Whether you need to provide a medical certificate
depends on the type of temporary entry class visa you
are applying for, whether you have provided one with a
previous application, and how long you intend to stay
in New Zealand (if you are already in New Zealand, this
includes time you have already spent here).
Standard requirements for temporary entry class visa
    applications
Unless requested by an immigration officer, medical and
chest X-ray certificates do not need to be provided if you:
    • intend to be in New Zealand for less than six months, or
    • are applying for a Working Holidaymaker Extension visa,
    or
    • have been recognised as a refugee or protected person
in New Zealand and are eligible to apply for a permanent
    resident visa, or
    • are applying for a military visa, diplomatic, consular or
    official visa.
Additionally, you generally do not have to provide a
new medical certificate if you provided one to us with
an earlier application (refer to How long are medical
certificates valid for? in this Guide).
If you intend to stay in New Zealand for more than 12
months you will need to submit a medical certificate and
chest X-ray certificate with your application.

    and

A General Medical Certificate and Chest X-ray
Certificate must be provided if you are applying for
any other type of temporary entry class visa with an
intended stay of more than 12 months.

    and

If you intend to stay in New Zealand for
    more than six
months but not longer than 12 months
    , you may need to
    provide a
    Chest X-ray Certificate
    . Whether you need to
provide this certificate depends on whether you are from
a place that is not on the list below, or you have visited a
place that is not on the list.

    2. In the web site: http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra.../whsonline.htm is stated this:

Our Working Holiday Schemes Online system will tell you whether you need to send us a completed medical and/or X-ray certificate and, if so, how to do it, when you submit your online application. This is based on the maximum length of stay that you are allowed under your country's working holiday scheme (not your intended stay), along with your responses to our health requirements questions.

In the same site there is also stated:

To be able to enter New Zealand as a student, worker, or visitor we need to be assured that you and any family members with you have an acceptable standard of health. We impose this requirement to protect public health in New Zealand and to ensure that people entering New Zealand do not impose excessive costs and demands on our health and special education services. We also want to make sure that people who enter New Zealand are able to undertake the work or study for which they have been granted entry.

    There is also requirements:

meet our health and character requirements

If you intend to stay in New Zealand for
    more than six
months but not longer than 12 months
    , you may need to
    provide a
    Chest X-ray Certificate
    . Whether you need to
provide this certificate depends on whether you are from
a place that is not on the list below, or you have visited a
place that is not on the list.

I already got my medical and police certificates, should I send them albeit they do not ask for them and my stay might be longer than 6 months? This certificates are valid up to 3 years, thus I might ask for any other temporary working visa once I get to NZ.

    Thanks in advance

INZ ask for different evidence depending on what visa you are applying for. I don't think it would be of any advantage to you to send in medical and police certificates if they're not required in your case - I understand you would like INZ to note that they exist, in case it will save you putting in for the checks again for a later visa, but I don't know if that will work.
