Hello, I would appreciate some help of you guys regarding my partnership based work visa
My partner and I have been together for 3 years now. First I was in High School and wasnt able to move in with him for a year. After a year of being together I returned back to Germany because my student visa expired.
We then were apart for 6 months before I returned on a working holiday visa. We moved togehter at that time but only lived together for 6 months as I was going for a 3 months travel outside NZ.
When I came back we did not move back together because he already had a flat for the time where I was away and I could not move in with him. It didnt bother us, we stayed at each other houses anyway nearly every day.
Originally we thought to apply for a partnership residence visa after that year on the base of having lived together.Since that didnt happen (my travel was spontaneous) I applied for a work to residence visa and it failed.
We did not know about the work visa under family stream so that is the reason why we didnt apply for a partnership based work visa at that time. Unfortunately I had to return to Germany. Now he came to visit me and I found out about this option where LIVING together isnt essential.
My concern now is that my travel for 3 months and our not living together after we already did looks kind of suspicious and I am now wondering how to indicate a stable relationship.
Will a statutory declaration of my flatmate help, stating that my partner has stayed at mine more than frequently?
Will maybe the fact that he came to visit me and our loads of communication evidence while being apart compensate for that time?
I would be very happy if you could help me out.
