    Default finally applied for Permanent Residency!

    Had Residency for 2 yrs, just sent in application for Permanent Residency....yeah!!!

    May I ask, what's the difference between "Residency" and "Permanent Residency"?

    Residence is the visa you get if successful under the Skilled Migrant Scheme. It comes with two years' travel conditions which allow you to come and go freely from NZ for that length of time. You need to establish commitment to NZ in order to qualify for Permanent Residence, which will allow you to come and go freely after that.
