Good experience with pet move

We used IPT to handle the pet transport for our two (very) large dogs. They povided step by step instructions, including dates, and communicated very well with our vet and with us throughout the process. Our dogs arrived in March with no issues and no undue trauma despite a flight delay in Auckland. Yes, you can do it yourself, but be aware that mistakes are costly and can cause significant delays. If you are planning to bring your pets, be sure your vet is cooperative regarding the extra paperwork that is required. Ours was very helpful with the entire process.

We also used Canterbury Quarantine for the quarantine. They were also excellent, communicated well and made the transition easier for the dogs.

Moving is stressful and there is a lot to do. GIve yourself a break and let the experts handle the pets. We hated to spend the money, but we're very glad that we did.

I would absolutely agree with everything that you say above about using recommended pet shippers to arrange things for you.

Hope your big dogs are settling in. How large are they?? And what did you do with the crates?

We had a really good experience with them too, although not impressed with quarantine facility nr AKL. Glad they arrived ok!
