The UK is terrible for this sort of thing.

NZ wasn't as bad in my experience.

Be interesting to find out if you think your own country is better or worse than NZ for people living for their phones.

All those photos could have been taken here (in NZ) as well.

Certainly judging by the teenagers I mix with, the fascination for mobiles and texting seems pretty much over. Anyone else notice this?

Really? Meaning they don't text anymore? Not my experience at all.

They do text but not nearly as much. At home we had to say no phones at the dinner table and there would be the frequent noise of incoming messages. With the youngsters at Pony Club there would be a constant clicking of fingers on buttons. This seems to have died out; half the time my two don't even have their phones on them. The texting seems to have died down to 'as required' rather than all the time.

    Well maybe there's hope then...

I wouldn't actually just say this is a teenage 'problem'. Far too many people seem to spend far too much time with their heads down over some screen or the other. In meetings, while driving, while eating out in restaurants, in all and every situations.

I see the same over here as I did in The States. Teenagers all on their techno gadgets.
