Default How far in advance of arrival to apply for jobs?

We expected to be in NZ ready to start work for 1st Sept. How far in advance should we start applying for jobs? Most adverts seem to say immediate start? We have 3 months notice to give here and then need to travel to NZ. Any advice please

For sectors like IT, the requirement is usually immediate based on winning some large projects. But it is not too soon to apply anytime, and you can mention your arrival date on your cover letter to set the recruiter's expectation right.

It depends very much what your field is and how much you have to offer as a candidate - some employers would not be interested if you are not in NZ and they can employ someone of equal calibre here. However if they are looking in an international field it is possible they would be willing to negotiate to employ the right candidate. I would apply to any job you see which you are interested in and take it from there - it is perfectly possible though that you don't get a look-in for jobs just because you are not in NZ, not because you are not suitable for the job.
Good luck. I would just go for it.

    Hi All,
Is calling for a feedback on a job application you made, well seen in NZ? Does it help or not?
