Converting Family Stream work visa to residency

Appreciate any background information from anyone who has done this.

Currently working in NZ, granted a two year work visa last year as my wife is a New Zealand Citizen, have been here 6 months and am looking at the next step towards residency.

Have visited the Government Immigration site but not found it too informative.

It's not really a 'conversion' - it's a new application, for partner-sponsored Residence. Here are the details. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...r/howdoiapply/ You will need to go on collecting evidence that you are living together, of the same sort that you needed for the partner-sponsored work visa. When you have 12 months'-worth, you can put in for Residence.
