Peer review/ second person check

Yesterday I got a mail from my CO that my file is at peer review since last week.Although he has approved my file for PR it needs to be peer reviewed and it is sitting there for two weeks now.Anyone has any idea how long it would take from the london branch to do second person check.Please share your expereince.

Hi engineer, did you do a follow up on the status and specifically asked for the result if approved?

I'm surprised your CO would mention an outcome BEFORE the second person check. What if the other official found some mistake, one way OR the other?
