    Default Karori, Wellington

    Hi Guys,
I have found an accomodation in Karori, Wellington ( near to the mall)

I find Karori to be very hilly..

Is it a nice/safe place to stay? I find all amenities nearby.

I am an Indian.. Are there Indians living in that area

    Hi there,

Karori is a great place to live, especially if you have children.

Yes, it is hilly for the most part and does get a bit colder/cloudier weather than other suburbs but it has a lot of other stuff going for it.
Great amenities all within a short walk from each other - if you're by the mall you'll have no worries. It is well served by 3 different bus services and is only a 10min drive to the CBD.

We have been living here for almost a year now and have never felt unsafe - although I'm sure like most places there will be odd unsavoury type or two.

With regards to your ethnicity, I would say it is quite culturally diverse and I have seen a number of people of Indian origin around. I think the cafe at the library is run and staffed by Indians and possibly the cafe down at Karori Park. It changed hands recently, so that may have changed.

Best of luck with the move.
