Residence Visa can sponsor visitor visa for parents ?
Hi,
I have recently got "residence visa". We are expecting our baby in July 2013. Need family support. I was wondering if I am eligible to sponsor " visitor visa' for my parents or not? Do I need to have " permanent residence visa" before I sponsor even a " visitor visa"?
Any info will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Harsh

Yes, you will be able to sponsor visitor visa for parents while you are on Resident Visa.

Hi
For now you can sponsor temporary entry fro your parents under V3.110 - follow link.
http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rd...oraryentry.pdf Page 114. Once you have held your Residence Visa for 3 years, so long as you remain "ordinarily resident" in NZ, you could sponsor them for residence if you and they wanted this. Good luck with the baby! Kind regards. Karen
