JandM,
Can you help please?
I'm afraid you're out of my area of knowledge. If you wait till NZ wakes up, I know there are people already in the country who know about engineering, and IPENZ in particular, and they're very likely to be able to tell you what you want to know. Meantime, here are some old threads where you might find something relevant. http://www.google.co.uk/#output=sear...iw=818&bih=519
Benjiamio, From what I've seen, NZQA is requesting IPENZ for people who were assessed with LV7 and above with "unspecified outcome". This means that since NZQA can not find a match on someone's qualification within the NZ standards the COs assigned or sometimes, the assessor from NZQA, will request for an IPENZ in order to be certified under chartered engineering. This will also be a prerequisite to be able to be granted bonus points under LTSSL
I have some questions
- What's the result of your IQA?
- Is it noted in your IQA that you need to go through IPENZ?
- What is your profession? (If you are not required to be registered to be able to work in your profession then, it is highly unlikely that you should have an IPENZ certificate)
Other members, please feel free to add.

ooops, I just learned about the answers to my questions from this thread (Silverfern 2013) where you posted the same questions...
My interpretation is still the same, if you are not required to undergo registration in order to practice your profession, then you may not have an IPENZ. I know some one with the same qualification who was asked for an IPENZ but later the CO no longer required it since the level is 7. The outcome was generic outcome... This varies from case to case.. please clarify your situation with the assessor.
No it's not required friend , same case like me
Don't worry at all
Thanks Trevore & monmon,
You are right. The comment is only indicative and am a Telecommunication Network Engineer, not requiring registration.
Bachelor Engineering Technology is a 4 year degree already eligible for registration.
Did medical today,went fine.
Thks a lot
