Special DirectionHi all

Hi all need help.

Has anyone been thru this before with request for special direction ??
I know someone who had been deported and is on a two year ban from entering back into NZ.
He has a wife and dependent child who are both NZ citizens by birth and are currently living in the country.
What would he need to do to request for special direction and will it get accepted or would he have to provide more information on why INZ should cut his ban ?

I have not seen any mention on the forum of a Special Direction.

I have a mate in Christchurch, who was a eight year overstayer, who was granted residency via E2.20. He had a specialised immigration lawyer, a very good job and a Kiwi partner of over six years (they got him in under partnership). It cost him in excess of $20,000 for the lawyer, plus the usual residency fees.
