My Partner & I have broken Up.. what to do about a visa??

I have just broken up with my partner of 4 years. I'm currently in NZ with a work visa that will expire next October.. so in 2014.
I have a good job but its probably not on the shortage list or very skilled at all, so this makes things hard for me.

I would love to stay in NZ & live here as I love New Zealand.

But I'm a bit lost as to what to do next.. Anyone got any ideas or rays of hope for me??

I work for a online retailer of natural healthcare products. I work advising people & sorting out their problems. It's classed as the customer care department, they pay pretty well & are quite a large organization. I guess I need to chat to them!!
