    Default ITA for permanent residency

Hi, We have just completed our paperwork and submitted it in Auckland for permanent residency.

Does anyone know how long this should take to process?

    Thanks in advance

Your ITA is an application under the Skilled Migrant Category. If successful, the visa you get will be Residence. PR is something you can apply for separately after a minimum of two years, and qualifying. http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...quirements.htm

Here http://www.enz.org/forum/showthread....979#post455979 is what is happening to your ITA now.

Here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/branc...ocessingtimes/ is the Auckland area's own best guess of timing at present, which will be based on recent averages. It's never a promise. Also, as you're lodging this application from inside NZ, you must already be on a valid visa, which means you won't have a high priority for processing.
