Default Do U.S. sinks and basins use the same size plumbing?

I've found a little bathroom wash basin that I like (in the U.S). Can it be fitted to Kiwi plumbing?

    Thanks.

Short answer is yes, it will fit. There are adapters at plumbing specialist shops to fit certain overseas fixtures that do not use metric sizes. However, it must be a good sink if you're willing to bring it over.

Well - I'm willing to bring it over because son and his family are shipping a container on November 1st - so I can sneak it in with their stuff. Thanks for the info! I might just do it.

It's to replace the terrible iconic Kiwi rectangular bathroom basin that even I (and I'm on not a big person) can't fit one hand in it.
