Default bringing spouse on temporary partnership visa

    Hi

I am an Indian and I recently got a job and moved to Wellington 3 weeks before. I am holding a work towards visa with a validity for upto 30 months. I am married and due to financial circumstances, thought of going down, settle and bring my wife here.

Now I am planning to bring my wife here. I recently went through some blogs and found that most of the partnership category visas are getting rejected. I would really appreciate to know the supporting documents that has to be submitted along with the application to prove the immigration that our relationship is genuine.

Anybody who has experience in this blog, I request you to share me your advise. Thanks.

    Regards
    Prajeesh

I think there are grounds to be optimistic. It appears that things have been being done wrongly, but are now being overseen by a different manager. See this recent newspaper article. http://www.indiannewslink.co.nz/inde...-in-india.html

I believe you have work visa and hence bringing you partner would be straight forward. The issue reported in India is about student / study visa holder attempting to bring their partners.
Make sure that you have documents to proof your partnerships is genuine and ongoing.
Proof is generally by shared bank accounts, shared or support to partner with bills, expenses and living accommodation rent etc. Relationship should be more than 1 year old before living separately due to your relocation to NZ.
Indian marriage certificate will be added advantage.

You say you are planning to bring your wife, I would have thought that you would have a marriage certificate, that would prove your relationship is genuine.

You have obviously not read the regulations, nor the many previous forum threads, about proving a relationship for INZ. http://www.google.co.uk/?gws_rd=cr&e...tnership+proof http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra...artnership.htm
