Question How to deal with the blank field in online EOI form?

INZ 1101 said 'N/A' should be filled to those fields that are not applicable.

Completing all sections of the form
You must complete all questions on the
Expression of Interest form. If the question does
not apply to you, you must write either ‘N/A’ or
‘not applicable’ in the space provided. This will
enable us to know that you have answered all
    questions relevant to you.
However, for some fields, it won't pass the validation. For instance, the 'Given name 2' field doesn't accept 'N/A', and raises the following error message:

Second Given Name can only contain characters(a..z), numbers(0..9), spaces, apostrophes(') and dashes(-).
So what should I do to those non-applicable fields?

I'm just guessing here, but you could try submitting the form with that box blank. I suspect that the 'N/A' option may be for a different kind of not applicable question, for instance details of a partner if you don't have one.

It says write 'n/a' or 'not applicable' - you don't tell us that you've tried the latter?!
