Appeal against rejected 2 year work visa

Hey guys, a friend had applied for his 2 year work visa after the open job search visa. he studied 1 year business course and he worked in tech support for the past 6 months. His visa application was rejected saying the job is not relevant to his qualification. He now may have to go back home as his 1 year open search visa has expired. Can he appeal against the rejection? What grounds or reasons can INZ accept or be okay with in such scenarios?
Any one else know of such situations?

Hi. If he is still in NZ, there are grounds for both reconsideration and appeal - but you need to be quick. Exactly what is his qualification and what is his current job - be precise. If you prefer to keep the conversation out of the public eye, send me a Private message. On his letter informing him of the decision, it will tell him his rights of reconsideration and appeal - happy to "interpret". What is the date on this letter? I will not charge you for advice!
