Days off during Xmas

I would like to know does there any impact on application due to Xmas vacation?
For how long NZ immigration and IQA department will remain close?

Most offices close from the 24 Dec and reopen 6 Jan. The reality of the Kiwi Christmas is that the whole of January is a bit of a go slow for government departments as many staff three weeks off, and sometimes more. It's summer and school holidays too.

NZQA should have details on their website about last date for allocation before Xmas. But I hit that date last year, and still didn't get allocated until the end of January.
