Is a job change allowed after SMC visa application accepted?

Hello all.
Am I allowed to gain my visa by accepting a job offer (to get the points for the EOI) and then change to a different job (who require residency first) once I have arrived in NZ?

Once you have met the requirements and been granted a Residence visa free of conditions (which normally requires, from INZ, that you work in the job that got you your visa for three months), then you are free to do whatever you want in NZ. Have another employment, start a business, be a student, be a stay-at-home parent - whatever it may be. (Of course, you would have to deal fairly and legally with the first NZ employer, meeting the terms of the contract you signed with him.)
