    Unhappy Refugee Immigration

    Dear All,

    I would like to know how can i apply for Refugee Immigration, I want to apply for Refugee because my Wife is Pakistani and I am Indian. We are currently living in Saudi Arabia, But day by day life is getting harder for expatriates. The issue is we cant go each other country... and the only option for us to live in other country and New Zealand a is one of the best country to live in Peace!

    Could any one please help us. I am totally lost and i dont know from where is should start.

    These http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/30666.htm are the regulations about applications from refugees. It's rather doubtful, I think, reading the definitions of the kinds of refugee which are meant, that you would come into those categories.

    But do you or your wife have qualifications which might mean you could get a visa as a skilled worker?

    I agree, why not look at your skills. I would rather come here as a PR than a refugee, just because I se a lot of refugees having a lot of problems over here settling, finding work etc.

    If you do come as a refugee, there are services in NZ to help you settle. http://www.refugeeservices.org.nz/
    No one should be ashamed to be a refugee and there are people here who want to help.

    I agree,but still the definition of a refugee might not allow the OP to apply as one.., and he wouldn't be what I would regard as a refugee?!

    I don't know all the circumstances but it doesn't appear to be the case with the information supplied.
    However, the OP isn't the only person who might click on this thread and read it and I wouldn't want anyone to think that there isn't support for refugees.

    Oh I know there is and I was not casting any disparity towards refugees...
