points claiming for work experience

My concern is my Bachelor of engineering is not in computer so with B.Tech electronics and three years work experience I am claiming points.
Can I also claim bonus points for that in work experience in skill shortage (I have 8yrs of total work experience should I select below 6years removing the three years or can claim total 8yrs)

Yes you can.
There are many fellow expats, sailing in the same boat.
They all submitted EOI and almost all have got ITA by now.
You have to go for IQA ( Full Assessment) to claim points.

If the eight years' experience are all in work using your skill, you can claim them. They don't somehow get 'used up' because you have to mention the three along with your engineering degree.
