Not sure what happened to my last post, computer froze apologies if you have same response twice. We are in NZ been here since September and have applied for residency under the skilled migrant category my husband is a brick layer and currently in full time employment here in NZ
Here http://www.immigration.govt.nz/opsmanual/35058.htm are the character restrictions for Residence. As you'll see, there's a mention of driving offences. But whether your husband's speeding fine ticks this box depends on if it did, or not, involve DUI.
I think you need to disclose even if it is a traffic offence.
h. convicted at any time during the last five years, of an offence (including a traffic offence), involving dangerous driving, driving having consumed excessive alcohol (including drunk driving and driving with a blood or breath alcohol content in excess of a specified limit) or driving having consumed drugs; or
No Definately not... just a few k's over the speed limit on way home from work. No points awarded just fine which was paid straight away
