Closure of Long Term Business Visa Category

Hi. I guess many people will already know this, but in case you don't, and you were thinking of applying for a LTBV as part of the process fro getting residence under Entrepreneur Category, I thought I should make sure people know that this category closes permanently on 20 December. A new Entrepreneur work visa for people wanting to set up a business in NZ will open in March 2014. Hope there aren't too may disappointed people out there. There may be other ways if you don't want to wait until March! Cheers. Karen

I guess this is true in theory - although those in the old Parent Category might feel they have been pushed aside by people applying under the new one. If you have an application in for LTBV, I suggest you contact either the Business Migration Branch or your Lawyer/Adviser.
