Default Job search, working visa, residency?

    Hi there...
    I am confusing...
Currently, i am holding a job search visa till april'14
and working as shortlisted employment categories.
And my CO will offer me for support any of working visa or residency.
    My questions :
    1. Should i apply my working visa first? Or EOI?
    2. I completed my level 5 qualification, my points abt 135... experience gained abt 7 months... how much should I prepare for applying all till recidency?

Anyone have these experience, pls share...

    cheers,

Are you on the Skilled Migrant Category Job Search Visa, or some other kind?

Then go to INZ with proof of your job, then your Residence, which is waiting for you, will come through at once. You are not starting from the beginning, having to apply for a visa - you already did that before. SMC JSV is also called "deferred Residence", and it just means they will give you your Residence as soon as you get a skilled job.

SM21.15 Grant of a resident visa following deferral

Where an immigration officer is satisfied that a principal applicant has obtained an offer of skilled employment in New Zealand, during the deferral period, the principal applicant will be assessed as having demonstrated an ability to settle in and contribute to New Zealand and will have their application for a resident visa under the Skilled Migrant Category approved; and
a resident visa subject to the conditions set out at SM4.30, will be granted if the principal applicant has been working in that skilled employment for less than three months; or
a resident visa not subject to conditions will be granted if the principal applicant has been working in their skilled employment for three months or more.

And here's what is meant by skilled employment.

I am puzzled by your asking about IELTS. When you first put in your EOI, and in the end after your CO interview you were given the SMC Job Search Visa, all that about proving your English must have been dealt with then, wasn't it?

I still think I may be misunderstanding you.

When you were in your previous country, did you put in your EOI, applying for Residence as a Skilled Migrant?

Did your application get processed, and did you have an interview with your INZ Case Officer?
