Default will foam mattress mold in the damp NZ climate?

So I'm thinking of buying a new queen mattress tto bring to NZ with us. I'm afraid our cal-king is going to be too big for the smaller bedrooms over there. I read somewhere that foam mattresses are prone to molding in a damp climate. If you have a memory foam mattress have you had any mold issues??? Does anyone know how much they cost over there? I'm just guessing it's quite a bit more than in the US, but maybe not?
    Thanks,
    Mara

All mattresses we bought over were memory foam and we had 6 of them and they are fine, no mould at all. We have now had them here over 6 years

Just as long as the mattress isn't laying flat on the floor. The heat from the body creates a warm spot where mold can grow.
