Default Dependent Children on Visitors Visas

    Hi All,

I've just come across this forum and website and it's the best ever! I hope somebody can help.

I am in the proces of completing the visitor visas for our children who are 2 and 1.

Who do I put as the primary applicant? It looks like I need to fill it out with my husband as the primary applicant (he has a temporary work visa for 2 years) and then my details (although I will be applying for a seperate partnership visa to allow me to work also) and then the children. Is there a seperate, more straightforward form for dependent children of temporary visa holders?

We are hoping to move in March/April 2014.

    Thanks

Hi. As you want the Temporary Work-based Partnership Visa, you will need to complete 1017 Visitor Visa forms for each child. The Principal Applicant is therefore the child. Each child will need a medical but not the chest x-ray. The section about financial support relates to your husband's salary- must be more that $35,019. Hope this helps. Most of the form can be labelled "Not applicable" Cheers. Karen
