Default A qualification listed in the NZSCED category

Stated in note 1 of http://www.immigration.govt.nz/NR/rd...bruary2013.pdf.

Overseas qualifications must be comparable to the standard of the New Zealand qualification listed OR a qualification
    listed in the NZSCED category
    .

I've been wondering what this mean. Does this apply to overseas qualification? Also, I couldn't find this list of qualification in NZSCED category.

If the qualification is listed, since it is OR, does it mean that overseas qualification don't need to be comparable as long it is listed in NZSCED category?

    Here's a link to a page explaining NZSCED. http://www.educationcounts.govt.nz/d...ucation_nzsced

Whatever foreign qualification you have has to be comparable to the NZ qualification listed in the box alongside the career you're looking at, or else it has to be comparable to a qualification listed in the NZSCED category, in order to count for LTSSL.

Yes, it applies to overseas qualifications - it says so. "Overseas qualifications must be comparable..."

An overseas qualification isn't going to be listed in the NZSCED category, since it is all about qualifications obtained in NZ.

Thanks JandM. That clears it up.
