UK style Chinese Takeaways in Christchurch?

UK style Chinese takeaway food was mentioned in another thread and it got me thinking (and hungry!).

So!...has anyone found anything remotely comparable in Christchurch?

There are many good Chinese eateries in Christchurch. What exactly r you looking for?

For a family of four with two teenage kids an average outing would cost around $30 - $60 of course depending on what you order but that is already a pretty good size meal.

Best we found was China Kitchen on Papanui rd, also good take away in the Parklands shops.

North and South on Addington road did a Peking duck which came close to a Crispy duck

I've been to North & South a few times and it's good bang for your buck but I'm specifically looking at Chinese takeaways and for one that mirrors the style of a UK Chinese takeaway (which is a ridiculous notion granted but wanted to ask around anyway).

Hi,

There is a 'new' shop along Greers road (warekei rd intersection) named BBQ King. Just reopened few days ago and they mainly sell roast chicken, BBQ pork, roast duck etc. it looks more like a takeaway than a sit in restaurant but there are a few tables if you decide to eat there.

Just saw a review on today's Press for Madam Kwong's

AND they do duck

Will have to go and check it out.

Has anyone been there?
