BUNAC Visa for Brits sold out :-(

Hi

I've been offered a job, where they want me to stay longer than the end of my working holiday visa (specialist retail/admin role). No worries me thinks, i'll get a BUNAC visa, lo and behold it seems to be sold out for 2014. Bummer!

I see they have closed their waiting list. Has anyone any experience of the visas becoming available again? Might have to go home and save it for another year.

I haven't seen that happen before. I didn't even know they had a quota that could get filled.

Have you thought about seeing if you qualify for a work visa? http://www.immigration.govt.nz/migra.../requirements/

well good news, the employer I was hoping to stay with are willing to look into getting me a work visa :-) not on a shortage list but it is a peculiar job...
