Question When can I enter NZ???

    Hi,

I have been granted a work visa for a specific job in NZ.

But, on the visa it states "First Entry before : n/a" and the "expiry date travel" is the same date as the visa expiry.

I dont understand when this means i can travel to NZ, obviously it will be before I'm due to start the job but i wanted to know if there was a specific meaning by having that on my visa?

"First Entry date" is relevant for a visa which has to be used before a certain date or it will lapse. That "n/a" shows this doesn't apply to yours. You've got it - you could now use it.

"Expiry date travel" is the date from which it won't allow you to enter NZ any longer, so it makes sense that's the same as when the visa expires.

For Permits, the expiry date is the date on which the period of authorised stay in New Zealand ends.
For Visas the expiry date is the last date on which the visa may be used to travel to New Zealand.
