Residence Approved!
Sharing happy news! Last year I was having a dilemma on whether I should apply NZ residency via Skilled Migrant or Partnership, and people in this forum have been really helpful which led me to my decision on applying through my partner. So thank you very much for the help, support and suggestions, I really appreciated it! Couldn't do it without you guys suggestions of weighing what's best.

I didn't wait long at all!
I made sure I submitted A LOT of proof of the relationship, which means a lot of photos, email print outs, screenshots of our texts, Facebook communications and friendship (relationship) page, air tickets, hotel bookings, photos of stuff we bought together like TV and such, many letters from friends and families stating that we are indeed together, etc.
Having it approved is a sweet end of paperwork headache journey (I've never used any Immigration agents or consultants) and I am very excited to start settling down in New Zealand.
As a quick background I was on a student visa, got my one year work search visa in 2012 and have applied for two work visas through my partner afterwards (one of the work visas was submitted together with my residence application; therefore I just needed to submit two sets of application form and fee but only a set of documents needed for partnership based visas).
