Has anyonehere gotten hired in Construction Management? Looking to find out about interviews.

Hello, My husband has several companies in the 'works' having gone through preliminary HR hiring manager interviews and now for several being put forward to the Project Managers and Operation Managers. What I am wondering is has anyone here successfully gotten a job offer, particularly in construction management but in any field also, without first having to travel to NZ? So far we have had all Skype based video interviews.

Yes; this was in late 2010 (arrived early 2011, also ex-US).

A couple of comments -- expect the process to be much slower and more deliberate than you're used to in the US. It could easily include psychometric testing, multiple interviews, etc. Be prepared for US experience to be heavily discounted -- construction methods, standards, and work practices are very different here.
