Not meeting ITA deadline

I have received my ITA pack almost before 3 months but might be due to some person reason, we may not willing to process further till next year.
What happened in that case? Our EOI will be still valid or we need to fill fresh EOI next year and start all the process again?

If you don't fill in your ITA by the deadline, your application will lapse.

Of course I have no idea what the personal circumstances are that are making you think you need to delay. However, in case it helps, remember that even if your case was processed super-quickly and you got Residence in minimum time when you would not be ready to move yet, there is still quite a lot of time in hand. From the approval date, you get six months before you have to pay the Migrant Levy and get the visa put in your passport, then there is a further 12 months till you have to arrive in NZ to activate the visa. Even then, once the visa is activated, you could leave again if you still needed more time to sort out your affairs.
