Default English language ability and meeting the requirments

    Hi all
I am going through the EOI and I think I meet the English requirements due to being born in the UK. Do i still have to take a test in order to get any points for this? as I am thinking that on the EOI i should select the "otherwise Meet the Min standard, as defined in the guide", is this the correct option to select? or do all applicants have to prove the meet the requirements?

    Cheers

As you thought, being British born, raised and educated, you 'otherwise meet the minimum standard', and don't have to take a test. UNLESS either of you is a nurse - nurses in NZ have to do the IELTS as part of their registration, even native English speakers, unless they're a New Zealander or Australian.
